Programs:

- Water and
Environmental Programs
Division: Waterscape's primary focus area is
education and research activities related to the protection of ground
and surface waters from anthropogenic land uses, agriculture, urban
expansion, and desertification.
- Regulatory and Policy Affairs Programs
Division: Our Regulatory and Policy Affairs Division examines policy-making
aspects of environmental control, public health, and energy to take the
latest scientific knowledge and apply it in the policy
environment. This area also addresses issues such as Right-to-Know
, Environmental Impact Assessment, Science & Technology
Policy.
- Energy Programs
Division: Energy security is critical to
economic and political well-being. The extraction of natural
resources for energy production also has measurable impacts on the
environment and potentially human health. Waterscape endeavors to study
energy supply possibilities in the U.S. and foreign countries, weigh
alternatives, and educate the public on options for improving our energy
security.
- Public Health Programs Division: Waterscape has dedicated significant time to
developing tools and training to improve the ability of public health
officials to understand the epidemiology of disease.
- Science and Technology Programs
Division: Science and Technology is an integral tool in
achieving overall U.S. foreign policy and other national goals,
cooperation in science and technology plays a vital role in preventing
the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, meeting the challenges
of "megascience" research, providing a framework for promoting
sustainable development, increasing energy security, and strengthening
the economic ties that underlie global stability.
Services: Geographic Information Systems & Modeling: We have experience developing and
implementing a wide range of solutions for water and public health
problems. We use the following tools:
- ESRI GIS
Software: ArcInfo/ArcView, Soil and Water Assessment Tool, Better
Assessment Science Integrating Point and Non-point Sources tool, 3D
Analyst, and other extensions.
- Database Design:
MS Access
- Groundwater
Modeling: MODFLOW
- General
Modeling/Statistics: Mathcad, MATLAB, MS Excel.
Training & Education: We provide training to implement our solutions and
general purpose computer training. Our staff have experience in the
field of environmental education programs from schools and watershed
groups as well. Web-based Solutions: We design stand-alone web sites and couple web sites with our
projects to increase exposure to a wider audience. |
